Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our practice examinations and how the platform works.

The Barrister Practice Examination is one combined four-hour timed examination covering all five barrister subjects: Civil Litigation, Criminal Law, Family Law, Public Law, and Professional Responsibility. Professional Responsibility questions are distributed throughout the examination among the other four subjects, just as they are on the actual licensing examination.
The Barrister Practice Examination has a four-hour time limit. A countdown timer is displayed on screen throughout the examination. When 30 minutes remain, you will receive a warning. If time expires before you submit, the examination is automatically submitted with all answers you have selected.
Your answers are saved automatically as you work through the examination. The timer continues to run even if your browser is closed or your internet connection is interrupted. When you return and log back in to your account, you can resume the examination with the remaining time.
Each purchase includes one attempt. After you submit the examination, you receive your results and can review every question — correct answers are shown in green and incorrect selections in red. Since all answers are provided after submission, a single attempt gives you the information you need to study further.
No. Individual subject examinations — Civil Litigation, Criminal Law, Family Law, Public Law, and Professional Responsibility — are untimed. You can work through them at your own pace. Only the Barrister Practice Examination, which combines all five subjects, is timed at four hours.
Access to your purchased examination is valid for 48 hours from the time of purchase. During this period you may log in, begin the examination, and submit your answers. After you submit and review your results, the examination will no longer be available to retake as part of that purchase.
Yes. Your score is calculated automatically when you submit your examination. You can then review every question — correct answers are highlighted in green and incorrect selections are shown in red — so you can identify which areas may need further study.
